About the Artist: Veronica D. is a Level 2 student attending Starpoint School at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Starpoint is a school for children with learning disabilities in Levels 1 through 6. Veronica has always been a fan of cats, jewels, and zebra print. All of those elements come together in “Cat.” Veronica chose a picture of a cat and divided her cat into simple shapes. She then cut those shapes out of fun papers and glued them down in her cat shape. Her final step was to create a place for her cat to play.
